All things about VILE every VILE agent should know:

1.)    When she's not in front of you (and sometimes even when she is in front of you) no VILE agent actually knows where in the world Carmen Sandiego is.

2.)    Steal for whatever reason you want, but try to be responsible.  Killing people is irresponsible; this will put you in a very bad place.

3.)    There is no rank in VILE.  You either work alone for the benefit of the organization, or you work as a team.  If you're in a team, you report to only one person (whoever is in the most convenient position to take care of everything).  If this person screws up, so do you, remember to always check your job twice.

4.)    Headquarters, VILE has many.

a.      Existing Headquarters:

                                                              i.      Refurbished Whaling Station, Antarctica:  Not an easy place to get to, but still Carmen's favorite hangout.  It's got its own hangar, airfield, and garage full of the R&D team.  Also not a good place to bring your pets.

ii.      616 Fifth Avenue, NYC: Swanky New York building for the buying, selling, and trading of the not so tangible side of our "services."  Don't ever go here dressed like a bum, you'll be kicked out.

iii.      Menora, Italy: Tiny island in the Mediterranean south of Italy, great for underwater endurance tests.  Service staffs here all speak Italian with a dialect; bring a translator if you don't know a word.

                                                           iv.      Paris, France: Call Pierre.

b.      Safehouses:

                                                              i.      VILE safe houses change regularly, as soon as you get to a city, your contact will give you an address.  When you're done with the place, make sure no one else finds that address.

c.       Starting from March 2011, the following locations are available for recreation and research:

                                                              i.      Tanasaru, Maldives: A five-star-plus luxury island resort complete with over-ocean villas currently managed by Onyx Group Hospitalities.  Accessible via sea plane only.  (VILE agents have complimentary guest access and maintenance access to the underwater facilities.  Strictly, do not bother other guests.)

ii.      Gomban, Ecuador: Commissioned to Starwoods Hotels and operated under the 'Le Meridian' brand, this resort is located in a high valley nested in the mountains of Ecuador.  (Primary observation facilities; transfer available from local airfield.)

iii.      Bayam Oasis, Qatar: An oasis in the deserts of Qatar, the management team for this seven-star resort is a joint venture between the local government and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.  Area is accessible via helicopter or airdrop.  (Alcohol license pending, do not bring anything prohibited until stated otherwise.)

d.      Plans for future expansion includes:

                                                              i.      Siberia, refurbished location, mining operation, refueling station.

                                                            ii.      Taipei, Taiwan, Office location.

iii.      Luangnapa, Cambodia, excavation location, planned for resort.

                                                           iv.      Sydney, Australia, Office location.

                                                             v.      Mynae Glen, Scotland, refurbished location.

vi.      Dukai, South Pacific, planned for nature reserve, eco-resort, and unobtrusive refueling station.
