Something in Spain
- Message
Hmm... Let's see, Formula One and Grand Prix racing has become quite the rage in Spain due to quite a few victories and historical record breaking wins by Fernando Alonso but I guess the thought of... er, "borrowing" Mr. Alonso's Renault F1 is only exciting to me.
Well, Spain is known for their unique architecture, Tapas cuisine in which you kind of restaurant hop eating small appetizers and a love for pork... but then again, that's what the Travel Channel has taught me. Let's see, take a trip to Wikipedia and... Oh! Carmen, how would you like a new statue to grace the headquarters? The Edificio Metrópolis in Madrid seems to be a nice find.

Interestingly, last year the Spaniards voted for their 12 dearest landmarks and treasures.
You can find some photos of them under this link.
For those who don't speak castellano, the list is as follows:
1. The Great Mosque of Cordoba
2. The Altamira Caves
3. The Cathedral of Seville
4. The Alhambra of Granada
5. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar in Zaragoza
6. Teide National Park
7. The Roman Theatre of Merida
8. The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela
9. The Museum of Arts and Sciences in Valencia
10. The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
11. Playa de la Concha
12. The Guggenheim Museum
About one third of these are located in the south of the country, where the picturesque "flamenco" culture prevails. The Spaniards are also very proud of their football (the Madrid-Barça rivalry is legendary), we could steal Beckham, or some important stadium. And, in case we have someone who is good with animals, the Black Iberian pig species are the secret behind the most delicious ham in Europe.
Espero haber sido de ayuda. Si alguien tiene preguntas, adelante.

Hey Camen,
sorry if I'm a little backdated. Dunno if you guys have already pulled the Spain caper.
But here's an idea...
why not steal ALL the bulls in Pamplona on the eve of the running of the bulls and all the Tequila in Mexico and then replace the bulls with Tequila so that the next day when they go to open the doors for the running of the bulls, we'll have the running of the BOOZE instead...
Now THAT'S comedy!
Hyuk hyuk.
