[Inside Tai and Kari's hotel room, where the last side-fic left off, Kari is lying unconscious on the floor]

Kari: [narrates] It was Friday, just 5 minutes past midnight. After working the night watch out of ACME Crime Net, staking out Greenwich Village for a string of armed robberies, which happen to be a trio of evil Digimon, I came back to my hotel room to get a good night's sleep. Little did I know that I was in for a shock. The captain is Greg Lee. My Digimon partner is Gatomon. My brother is Tai. My name is Kamiya. I'm a singer. Tai and Sora decided to look at the scenes from the last show to see what we've been up to.

[Clips from the previous side-fic are shown]

Kari: [narrates] While Tai and Sora were asleep in our hotel room after a long night out, Matt, Gabumon, T.K., Patamon, Gatomon, and I were on stakeout at Greenwich Village. Greg said there were reports of armed robberies. We checked a grocery store and caught the burglars redhanded. They dropped the money and their guns and revealed that they weren't human at all. They were 3 evil Digimon sent by Karl Vorstein. The leader was Mephistomon, and his cohorts were a pair of Fangmon. Our Digimon took care of the Fangmon, but Mephistomon was too strong, and he Digivolved into Gulfmon, and was much too strong, even for me and Angewomon as Ophanimon, and MetalGarurumon. MagnaAngemon tried to stop him, but his power wasn't enough. He de-Digivolved back into Angemon, and was about to suffer defeat, when T.K. stepped in to protect us. Suddenly, the remains of the Battle Star was infused in T.K.'s Digivice, enabling him and Angemon to Biomerge into Seraphimon. With his help, we defeated Gulfmon and saved the village. At around midnight, Gatomon and I returned to our hotel room, only to find my beloved big brother in bed with Sora. I was shocked. After a moment of breathing, I fainted dead away.

[Back to the present; Tai and Sora get out of bed and walk up to Kari and Gatomon]

Tai: Kari, Gatomon, wake up.

[Gatomon wakes up]

Gatomon: Tai, why are you in those boxer shorts?

Tai: She's okay.

Gatomon: And, Sora, what's with the night dress?

Sora: It used to be my mom's.

Gatomon: Last thing I heard before I fainted-- You two were in bed together?

Tai: Just kissing and sleeping. That's all.

Sora: We had a long night.

Tai: [kneels down to Kari] Kari, come on. Wake up. It's not what you think it is.

[Kari moans and slowly opens her eyes]

Kari: [groggily] T-T-Tai?

Tai: Are you okay?

Kari: Was I dreaming?

Tai: No. It was the real thing. You really did see us in bed.

Kari: Oh.

[She slowly closes her eyes and starts to cry]

Tai: Kari, I'm sorry. I should've told you sooner, but... I was on Cloud Nine. Please stop crying.

[Gatomon hands Kari a handkerchief]

Gatomon: Don't cry, Kari.

[Kari wipes her tears]

Sora: You a little jealous?

Kari: No. I knew you were like peas and carrots. It's just that...

Tai: Something to do with Matt?

Kari: Yeah. You know that he hasn't been too happy since he and Sora broke up. If he finds out you two were in bed, my big brother is as good as dead!

[She cries even harder on Tai's shoulder]

[Tai puts his arms around his sister]

Tai: Don't worry, Kari. No one's gonna know.

Sora: But won't this pretty much give it away?

[She points to a little red mark on her neck]

Kari: Yikes.

Tai: All right, Kari. I also nipped her neck. So, next time Sora meets up with Matt, she can wear her scarf.

Sora: Good idea. Besides, even if he does notice this, he has no way of knowing who's been kissing me.

Kari: I hope Agumon didn't notice.

Tai: He's sleeping in the closet. He didn't even hear a thing.

Sora: Oh, my God. That reminds me, I left Biyomon in my hotel room. I gotta get back there and get some sleep.

[She grabs her key, clothes, shoes, and robe, puts on her slippers, and kisses Tai]

Sora: Good night, Tai.

Tai: Good night.

Sora: Good night, Kari.

Kari: Good night, Sora.

[Sora heads out the door; Tai shuts it]

Tai: Kari, you wanna talk about it?

Kari: You've said enough, big brother. Let's just get some sleep. I've had a long night.

[She grabs her nightwear, heads into the bathroom, then comes out in her nightwear, and joins Tai in bed]

Tai: I promise, I won't let Matt know of my intimate moment with Sora.

Kari: I just hope nobody else finds out. It's hard to keep secrets around this group.

[Gatomon climbs onto the bed]

Gatomon: Don't worry, Kari. Even if a fight breaks out, Matt will probably get over it, so as not to risk this team falling apart.

Kari: I hope you're right, Gatomon.

Tai: [yawns] Good night, girls.

[He falls asleep]

Kari: Good night, Tai.

[She gives Tai a good-night kiss]

Kari: Sleep tight.

Gatomon: Good night, Kari.

[She falls asleep]

Kari: Sweet dreams, Gatomon.

[She turns off the lights and falls asleep]

[Meanwhile, in Joe's room next door, Joe, wide awake, has heard the whole thing]

Joe: [quietly] I don't believe it. Tai and Sora actually had an intimate night? I, for one, am surprised.

Gomamon: [sleepily] Joe, it's no big deal. Go back to sleep, huh?

[Joe sighs, removes his glasses, and falls asleep]

[The next morning, the DigiDestined (true to her word, Sora is wearing a scarf to hide the mark on her neck) all walk out of the hotel and walk down the subway stairs]

Kari: [narrates] Friday, 9:50am. Even though Joe overheard our conversation about Tai and Sora's intimacy, he remained silent. However, Matt seemed a bit suspicious on why Sora, Tai, and I were acting a bit strange all morning. Anyway, we were on our way to ACME Crime Net HQ on the BMT Astoria Line. Greg informed us that there had been a car crash in Astoria last night. One driver had crashed a stolen car into that of an innocent driver. The driver died in the hospital this just as the paramedics got him there. Weeks ago, he purchased a life insurance policy in the amount of $200,000, but because his death was caused by murder, a double indemnity clause is gonna give the beneficiary $400,000. Plus another $30,000 from car insurance. Maybe more, since both cars were insured and damaged, including the car the murderer was driving, which was reported stolen from the possible beneficiary.

[At ACME Crime Net HQ, the DigiDestined walks up to Greg's desk]

Greg: Morning, guys. Had a good night?

Tai: You could say that, Greg.

Greg: Anyway, about the car crash, this is the victim.

[He shows the gang a picture of the victim]

Greg: Artemis MacGregor. He lost his wife to childbirth 10 years ago. Just last night, while MacGregor was driving home from work, an unknown reckless driver wearing a mask drove his car over the center line and hit MacGregor's car head-on. Both cars were severely charred and damaged, and MacGregor was killed. Just before I called you down, I got a call from his brother-in-law, his late wife's younger brother: John Whittle. He claimed that he saw his car was stolen when he was about to leave work at a 24-hour store. He was devastated not only to lose his oldest sister, but also his only brother in-law.

T.K.: Poor fella.

Greg: The insurance company called him and said that if he doesn't show up within 24 hours to pick up any of the insurance money, it'll all be mailed to MacGregor's son, Eric. See, MacGregor made Whittle the beneficiary, but only for the first 24 hours. His son is the trust beneficiary. However, there's been no significant trace of the murderer. Now, just an hour ago, I sent Jeanette to the 24-hour store to ask some questions to all who worked there.

[Jeanette enters, with the other two Chipettes]

Jeanette: Hi, guys.

Tai: What's up, girls?

Brittany: Jeanette told us that she got a few surveillance videos from the store.

[Jeanette extracts a DVD disc]

Jeanette: It's all in here.

Greg: Why would you ask to for surveillance videos, Jeanette?

Jeanette: Because I sensed something wrong in these videos. Daniel Bozzelli, the security guard, even though he acted a little weird, didn't think there was anything wrong, but he gave me a DVD of copies of the surveillance videos taken around the time Mr. Whittle's car was stolen. One indoors, one outdoors.

Greg: Perhaps with that evidence, we can find out who the car thief and murderer is. And Whittle told me that he wants that murderer caught so that he can get to the insurance company scot-free, or MacGregor's son gets the insurance money. And Whittle is desperate.

Mimi: Do you have his address?

Greg: Right here.

[He hands Mimi the address: "1454 Astoria Boulevard, Queens, New York"]

Mimi: Can you get the Chipmunks on the phone? Maybe they can give us a hand.

Greg: Already did half an hour ago. They're on their way in.

[The Chipmunks enter]

Alvin: Morning, guys.

Tai: Morning, Alvin. Simon. Theodore.

Theodore: We heard about the crime. Is Mr. Whittle all right?

Greg: Yeah, but he may wanna have a talk with us. Chipettes, you head to your office and look through the surveillance videos. Which of you Chipmunks wants to help Mimi out in getting some answers from John Whittle?

Simon: I'm in. Let's roll, Mimi.

Mimi: Come on.

[Simon and Mimi exit HQ]

[Later, in Astoria Boulevard, Simon and Mimi, on their ACME Scooters, head toward 1454]

Kari: [narrates] Mimi and Simon arrived in 1454 Astoria Boulevard to get word from John Whittle, an alleged witness in the theft of his car and the murder of his brother-in-law.

[Mimi and Simon stop in front of the right house; they get off their scooters, and walk up to the front door]

[Inside the house, John Whittle (played by Jason Bateman) is on the phone with the insurance company]

Whittle: Mr. Greco, I can't take chances. I wanna make sure that murderer is caught so I can get to the office before 10:00 tonight. I really need that insurance money.

Mr. Greco: [on phone] See that you do, Mr. Whittle, or you get nothing.

[KNOCK ON DOOR!]

Whittle: Listen, I gotta go. I have visitors. 10pm tonight.

Mr. Greco: Remember that.

[Whittle hangs up, walks up to the door, and opens it, revealing Mimi and Simon]

Mimi: John Whittle?

Whittle: Yes, ma'am.

Mimi: I'm Mimi Tachikawa. This is my partner, Simon.

Simon: Seville.

Mimi and Simon: [reveal their badges] ACME Crime Net.

Whittle: Come on in.

[He invites Mimi and Simon inside, and shuts the door]

Whittle: So, you've heard about the death of my brother-in-law?

Mimi: Yes, Mr. Whittle. Now, we have questions for you. Can you tell us the make of your stolen car?

Whittle: That one was a big one, Miss Tachikawa. It was a 2011 Porsche 911.

[Simon takes notes]

Simon: "Make of stolen car: 2011 Porsche 911." Do you happen to know the color of it, Mr. Whittle?

Whittle: It was red.

[Simon writes it down]

Mimi: Just to be sure, did you have that car insured?

Whittle: That car was very expensive, ma'am. Over $120,000. Of course I bought insurance.

[Simon writes down the value of the car]

Simon: How could you afford such a car?

Whittle: Actually, I got it for Christmas from my best friend Daniel. He had been saving up all year to get me the car while working as a security guard at the store I work at. Next morning, I bought heavy insurance to make sure I get money to buy a new one. And it's really big.

[Simon continues taking notes]

Mimi: Mr. Whittle, can you describe the guy who stole your car?

Whittle: I only saw his mask just as he drove off.

Mimi: That's all the information the captain gave us before we came here.

Whittle: Isn't that maddening? But I did see that poor Artemis was killed in that car crash. And I have until 10:00 tonight to pick up all the insurance money. The $30,000 from his car, the $120,000 from mine, and Artemis' life insurance. He bought it in the amount of $200,000.

Simon: [writes it all down] 20% of a million bucks?

Whittle: But now it's $400,000.

Mimi: From double indemnity?

Simon: Just what is double indemnity, Mimi?

Mimi: Double indemnity means the insurance company must pay double the amount of life insurance if death was caused by accident, murder included.

Simon: [writes it all down] You may be entitled to a total of $550,000, Mr. Whittle.

Whittle: Only until 10:00. Otherwise, it all goes to my nephew, Eric, who's currently living with Artemis' mother, Stella.

Simon: Do you know their address? We wanna send some of our fellow agents there to ask some questions.

Whittle: 884 Woodhaven Boulevard.

[Simon writes it down]

Mimi: We'll be in touch with you, Mr. Whittle. Come on, Simon. Let's go.

[She and Simon exit the house]

[Later, Tai, Kari, Izzy, and Alvin, on their scooters, drive into Woodhaven Boulevard]

Kari: Later, Tai, Izzy, Alvin, and I, having heard the news from Mimi and Simon, headed for Woodhaven Boulevard to pay a quick visit to Stella and Eric MacGregor, mother and son of Artemis.

[The gang parks their scooters in front of 884, then walk up to the front door and knock]

Stella: [from behind the door] Coming!

[The door opens, revealing Stella MacGregor (played by Mary Steenburgen)]

Stella: How may I help you?

Tai: Morning, ma'am. Tai Kamiya.

Kari: Kari Kamiya.

Izzy: Izzy Izumi.

Alvin: Alvin Seville.

All 4: [reveal their badges] ACME Crime Net.

Stella: Do you have any news about my son's killer?

Tai: Mind if we talk with you and your grandson?

Stella: No, not at all. Come on in.

[She invites the gang inside]

Stella: [shuts the door] Eric, honey, come to the living room.

[10-year-old Eric MacGregor enters]

Eric: Grandma, are these guys from ACME?

Stella: Of course, and they'd like a word with us.

Alvin: You have our deepest sympathies, Eric. Mrs. MacGregor.

Izzy: Our condolences to you. And the entire community of ACME Crime Net is saddened by your loss.

Eric: Thank you. Grandma and I were very disappointed last night when the cops told us that Dad died in that car crash.

Kari: It's a sad thing. 30 years old, and he left you too soon.

Eric: And I was the only kid he had.

Stella: And he was the only kid I had.

Kari: There's good news though, Eric. You may have inherited over half a million dollars from his insurance policies.

Eric: Insurance?

Izzy: It's a guarantee one buys from the insurance company. They pay a certain amount of money each month, and if whatever is insured is either stolen or damaged, such as a boat, a car, a house, a bicycle, et cetera, the insurance company will pay you to repair the damages or buy a new one. Or maybe you may not want a new one anytime soon, and you can put the insurance money in your savings.

Tai: In the case of life insurance policies, when one dies, if he bought life insurance, then the company pays the beneficiary the money.

Eric: Bene-what?

Stella: Beneficiary. Someone that gets the bread.

Eric: Oh.

Tai: You were gonna get $200,000, but because Artemis' death was caused by murder, the double-indemnity clause doubled the insurance to $400,000. Plus, since both cars were insured, and were damaged, the company's gonna give you an extra 150 G's.

Stella: You hear that, Eric? We're talkin' money!

Eric: I'm off to NYU for sure.

Kari: But there's one small setback, Eric. Your dad offered to give your uncle, John Whittle, the insurance money, if he heads for the insurance company's main office to pick it up before 10:00pm tonight. If he doesn't, it's all yours.

Eric: Uncle John? My late mom's annoying brother?

Alvin: You don't like him, do you, Eric?

Stella: Neither do I, Alvin. Artemis, on the other hand, liked him. John kept trying to find a girl, but every girl dumped him, on account of his misbehavior.

Kari: Write this down, Izzy. I think we may have a lead.

[Izzy takes notes]

Eric: Is there anything I can do to help, Miss Kamiya?

Kari: No, Eric, but we'll try to keep in touch. If your uncle doesn't get to the insurance company in time, we'll let you and your grandmother know.

Stella: You know, last night, when John called to tell us the news about my son, he sounded a bit strange.

Tai: Must've been shocked.

Stella: He didn't sound shocked to me.

Alvin: Hmm... I don't like the sound of that.

Izzy: [looks at his watch] Uh-oh. Time for our lunch break. We gotta go, Mrs. MacGregor. Eric.

Kari: But we'll be in touch. We just need your number.

[Stella writes down her phone number on a Post-It note and hands it to Kari]

Kari: Thank you. C'mon, guys.

[She and the other 3 exit the house]

[A few hours later, in Atlantic Avenue, Sora, Matt, and Theodore park their scooters in front of a 24-hour store]

Kari: [narrates] Three hours after we finished lunch, while Jeanette continued to look through the surveillance videos, Sora, Matt, and Theodore arrived at the 24-hour store where Whittle worked. He wasn't working there at the moment, because of his family crisis. The trio decided to pay a visit to Daniel Bozzelli, the security guard.

[Sora, Matt, and Theodore enter the store and walk up to the door to the security guard's office]

[Theodore knocks]

Bozzelli: What?

Theodore: Use your manners, Mr. Bozzelli. We'd like to have a word with you.

[Bozzelli (played by James Gandolfini) opens the door and notices the gang]

Bozzelli: Who are you?

Sora: Takenouchi, ACME Crime Net.

Matt: Ishida, ACME Crime Net.

Theodore: Seville, ACME Crime Net.

Bozzelli: Just as I figured. I was questioned by 3 other agents earlier this morning.

Sora: We have some questions for you, Mr. Bozzelli. Are you, in any way, connected to one John Whittle?

Bozzelli: My best pal. I gave him by deepest sympathies after I found out his brother-in-law died in that car crash.

Matt: Could you tell us who stole his car? The one that killed his brother-in-law, that is.

Bozzelli: Well, I did see the thief put on a mask.

Theodore: At what time did the car crash occur?

Bozzelli: 10:00pm last night.

Matt: Mr. Bozzelli, do you know of the whereabouts of Mr. MacGregor's killer?

Bozzelli: No trace whatsoever.

Sora: Uh-huh.

Bozzelli: You know, Miss Takenouchi, it's getting sorta warm in here. You might wanna take off your scarf.

Matt: As a matter of fact, Sora, you've been wearing that scarf throughout the whole day.

Theodore: You don't wanna get all stuffy, Sora.

[He removes Sora's scarf, although Sora tries to resist]

Sora: Theodore, watch the scarf! I can't remove it un--

[After Theodore removes the scarf, revealing the mark on Sora's neck]

Bozzelli: A hickey? Too embarrassed to show it in public?

Matt: [shocked] Oh, my God! Sora! Was it Myotismon?

Sora: If it were him, I'd be in the hospital right now.

Theodore: I'm under strict instructions from Kari not to tell Matt that Tai and Sora had a wonderful night out last night, and that they had a nice make-out session in bed. [gasps] Oops!

Matt: He did what?!

Sora: Matt, please.

Matt: Mr. Bozzelli, we'll be in touch. We gotta go.

[He and the others hurry out of the store]

Bozzelli: It's just a hickey. No big deal.

[Outside the store, Matt confronts Sora]

Sora: Matt, you know we broke up months ago! Tai was all I needed!

Matt: But did you have to find another guy and betray a friend?! I thought you and I were just taking some time apart!

Sora: You know Tai and I have been best friends for years!

Matt: I didn't expect you and him to be getting so close to each other!

[Sora slaps him]

Sora: Come on, Theodore!

Theodore: Are you mad at me, Sora?

Sora: No. You had nothing to do with it. I did.

[She and Theodore get on their scooters and drive off]

Matt: I thought we'd stay friends! That does it. Time to give Tai a piece of my mind.

[He dials Greg's number on his iPhone]

Greg: [on phone] ACME Crime Net.

Matt: Greg, where's Tai?

Greg: He's at the insurance company. What, you have a lead?

Matt: No. I have a piece of my mind to give him. Where's the insurance company?

[Later, Matt furiously drives his scooter to the building of the insurance company]

Kari: [narrates] Once the secret was out, Matt drove furiously to the insurance company building, where Tai was asking the head of the company about MacGregor's insurance policies.

[Matt parks at the entrance]

Matt: I just hope he hasn't left yet.

[Tai comes out of the building and is about to get on his bike, when he hears Matt clearing his throat; Tai notices]

Tai: Matt, what are you doing here?

Matt: What am I doing here? Sora explained the story. I saw the mark on her neck, and Theodore accidentally spilled the beans.

Tai: Still couldn't get over the breakup, eh?

Matt: I thought Sora and I were just taking some time apart to think about us.

Tai: She distinctly told me and Kari that it was an official breakup!

Matt: You were happy for me and Sora when we started dating 3 years ago!

Tai: And I was a little disappointed when you broke up! By the way, what's with that slap mark on your face? Did Bozzelli hit you?

Matt: Sora and I had an argument, and she slapped me.

Tai: I thought you two were still friends.

Matt: Well, we are! But did you have to be a backstabber?!

[He tackles Tai to the ground]

Matt: WHY?!! WHY, TAI?! WHY?!!

Tai: BECAUSE SORA AND I LOVE EACH OTHER, YOU FREAKIN' PSYCHO!!

[He punches Matt in the face and gets back on his feet]

[The two guys get into a serious fight]

[Kari and T.K. suddenly arrive on their scooters and notice the fight]

Kari: Oh, my God!

T.K.: Our brothers are fighting?!

Kari: We gotta stop 'em.

[She and T.K. get off their scooters and run up to their fighting brothers; Kari grabs Tai; T.K. grabs Matt]

T.K.: Stop it! Both of you!

Kari: Fighting about a certain girl is only putting this team at risk! You guys gotta get this together!

Tai: Matt should know better! He should've taken what Sora and I had been doing like a man!

Matt: Sora and I were meant for each other! I know I had my music and family, but--

T.K.: That's enough, Matt! She broke up with you, and the decision was final. Get it the heck over with! All this fight is doing is trying to break up the team.

Matt: [sighs] You know what? You're right, T.K.

Tai: Kari, you let me go.

[T.K. and Kari let their brothers go]

Tai: Matt, can you forgive me?

Matt: I'm the one who should be forgiven, Tai. It was in the heat of the moment. Maybe Sora was right. I'm not cut out to be her boyfriend. I just hope we can still be friends.

Tai: And remember your crest, Matt. The Crest of Friendship.

Matt: That's right. [starts tearing up] Tai, you and I are still friends, right?

Tai: It's cool, man. We just went out of control.

Matt: I'm sorry, Tai. It's just that the thought of you and Sora together made me feel funny inside.

Tai: It's all right, Matt. Put 'er there, pal.

[The two friends shake hands]

Tai: Now that this feud's over with, there's still the matter of finding MacGregor's killer.

Kari: Let's get back to headquarters and go over the facts.

[They all get on their scooters and drive off]

[Back at HQ, Tai, Kari, Matt, and T.K. walk up to the rest of the DigiDestined, the Chipmunks, and the Chipettes]

Kari: [narrates] Early in the evening, we went back to HQ to organize our facts. Of course, Tai and Matt still had some bruises from their fight.

Alvin: Tai, Matt, what happened to you?

Tai: We had a little fight after I left the insurance company.

Matt: It's all behind us now. Sora, can you forgive me for that outburst? It was in the heat of the moment.

Sora: I know. I'm sorry I slapped you.

Matt: Still friends?

Sora: Solid.

[The two fist-bump]

Joe: Thank goodness.

Alvin: Any more luck?

Tai: Guys, I think it's time to play "What Do We Know?".

Theodore: This isn't a time for games, Tai.

Sora: No, Theodore. "What Do We Know?" is a way of organizing the facts we have. When trying to solve a case, you can't overlook anything.

Brittany: Okay. We know off the top that last night, the car thief ran Mr. Whittle's car into Artemis MacGregor's car, killing him.

Mimi: And Simon and I went to Mr. Whittle's house to get some answers.

Simon: The car that was stolen was a red Porsche 911 valued at over $120,000. And it was insured.

Mimi: And he said that he got the car for Christmas from his friend Daniel.

Eleanor: You mean, Daniel Bozzelli, the security guard at the store Mr. Whittle works at?

Mimi: Yeah.

Simon: And the morning after Chrirstmas, he bought heavy insurance on the car.

Tai: Later, Kari, Izzy, Alvin, and I went to the home of the victim's mom and son.

Kari: Mrs. MacGregor said that neither she nor Eric had any interest in Mr. Whittle.

Izzy: Right. But only Mr. MacGregor liked his brother-in-law.

Alvin: Mrs. MacGregor told us that Mr. Whittle sounded strange when he broke the news of her son's death over the phone.

Sora: After lunch, Matt, Theodore, and I went to the 24-hour store to get in touch with the security guard, Daniel Bozzelli.

Matt: Mr. Bozzelli told us that the crash occurred last night at 10:00pm.

Theodore: 24 hours before the deadline of when Mr. Whittle has to pick up the insurance money.

Sora: That's all the info we got from him.

Joe: Jeanette, did you happen to look through the surveillance videos?

Jeanette: I'll show you.

[Later, in the 'Munk Office, Jeanette hooks up her laptop to the HDTV and turns them both on; the others look on]

Jeanette: Just an hour ago, I captured all the surveillance videos into my computer in MPEG2-TS mode for best quality.

[Alvin pauses the recorder]

[Outside, in the back of the store, Alvin, Theodore, and the Chipettes watch as Simon faces Bozzelli; Jeanette takes her position as referee]

Alvin: Remember, they always save the best for last, so be careful, Simon.

[He looks up Carracosta]

Simon: But you realize that using a Water-type against my Electivire is suicide.

Bozzelli: We'll see about that. Carracosta, Bide!

[Carracosta braces itself]

Carracosta: Costa.

Simon: Electivire, use ThunderPunch!

[Electivire strikes Carracosta w/said attack]

Bozzelli: Wait for it.

Blastoise: [becomes enraged by Torrent] BLASTOISE!!

Simon: Because Blastoise has been weakened enough, its ability: Torrent, activates! Now, Blastoise, use Hydro Pump again!

[Carracosta tries to dodge, but gets hit by the attack hard]

Bozzelli: You little brat just got lucky!

[Blastoise rockets toward Carracosta surrounded by red aura]

[Carracosta fires said attack at Blastoise, but Blastoise rockets through the attack and strikes Carracosta extremely hard w/Giga Impact]

[Carracosta stares angrily at Blastoise, who stares back]

[After a moment of pause, Carracosta slowly faints]

Bozzelli: NO!!

[Alvin, Theodore, Brittany, and Eleanor cheer]

Simon: Way to go, Blastoise!

[Blastoise fires a victory Hydro Pump in the air]

Bozzelli: [recalls Carracosta] Return, Carracosta!

[He is about to escape, when suddenly, Alvin's Charizard blocks his path]

[Charizard growls angrily at Bozzelli]

Bozzelli: You don't scare me.

Alvin: Not so fast!

[Alvin grabs Bozzelli by the tie]

Alvin: Okay, Bozzelli. Talk!

[The rest of his gang joins him; Alvin presses the record button on his recorder and points his fist at Bozzelli]

Bozzelli: Okay! Okay! I'll tell you! John and I, we're not just friends. We're also partners in crime. I had the whole thing planned out all week. I used all my winnings to buy John that Porsche, so that he could use it to kill his bro-in-law, and after the murder, I edited the surveillance videos, and the next morning, I gave 'em to the Chipettes. He wanted his brother-in-law dead, because he knew that he was the beneficiary of the life insurance policy, and that if he didn't show up within 24 hours, everything went to his nephew.

Brittany: Go on.

[Meanwhile, back at Whittle's house, Whittle is on the phone]

Mr. Greco: [on phone] Mr. Whittle, you have less than an hour to get to the office, or you get no insurance.

Whittle: I'm on my way, Mr. Greco. I won't be long.

[He hangs up]

[KNOCK ON DOOR!]

Matt: Fess up, Whittle. We know you did it! You damaged your own car to kill your brother-in-law so you could collect all the insurance money for yourself.

[He hits the gas pedal hard, and the car goes faster]

[Everyone follows Whittle to the left]

[She looks up and sees Angewomon flying overhead]
