Narrator: The crimes are made up, but the characters are real.

[In the streets of Queens, the DigiDestined (with their Digimon) enter from the subway stairs]

Tai: [narrates] It was Wednesday, 1:16pm. New York was getting a little cloudy. But then again, it's Winter. I was working the day watch out of ACME Crime Net. The captain is Greg Lee, having been promoted a few hours ago. My group is Digipella. My name is Kamiya. I'm a singer.

[He and his group enter the studio; in the alley, Alvin and Brittany play Super Mario 3-D Land on their new Nintendo 3DS's; the DigiDestined enters]

[Tai clears his throat; Alvin and Brittany pause their games and notice them]

Matt: Hi, Alvin. Brittany. Playing Super Mario 3-D Land?

Alvin: Uh-huh.

Brittany: We each got one for Christmas. He got his from Dave. I got mine from Olivia. The 3DS's, too.

Sora: So, you guys have a good Christmas back in L.A.?

Alvin: Sure did. Not to mention a heck of a weekend. Friday night, we went to Disneyland for Believe... In Holiday Magic. The fireworks presentation. On Christmas Eve, our grandparents came by to spend the night. And, of course, on Christmas, we all opened our presents, had a wonderful Christmas dinner, and sang some carols.

Kari: Uh-huh.

Alvin: How 'bout you guys? What'd you do during Christmas weekend, aside from opening presents?

Tai: We all had a nice Christmas dinner together.

Sora: Mimi heats up an excellent bird.

Biyomon: Hey!

Sora: Not you, Biyomon.

Mimi: I gave the turkey a good dressing.

Kari: Of course, I also helped with the stuffing.

Alvin: Maybe we should tell Marsha she has two new rivals.

[Brittany laughs]

[The phone rings]

Tai: I'll get that.

[He picks up the phone]

Tai: ACME Crime Net. Kamiya. Just made it, Greg. Wonderful. [hangs up] Our new "captain" has a case for us, guys.

[Greg enters the alley]

Greg: Well, well, well. Afternoon, guys.

Joe: How's your new position coming along, Greg?

Greg: Wonderful. Unfortunately, things are in the soup at the Wollman Rink.

Alvin: The ice rink at Central Park?

Greg: Yep.

Izzy: What's going on there?

Greg: There's been some cases of kidnapping. 10 reports of missing people. We've reason to suspect the Vorsteins are involved.

Matt: Did the witnesses give a description of the kidnapper, Captain?

Greg: Two kidnappers, Matt. One man, one woman. The man was Caucasian, 6' 2'', wearing a golf hat and red polyester. The woman was a redhead, 5' 4'', wearing cardigan and white hightops. They say the man answers to the name Cornelius Barzee, and the woman to the name of Tracy Cox.

T.K.: Did anyone get a make on any vehicle they were driving?

Greg: A red car. 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. Now, I want you to go to the rink and scope it out.

Alvin: If they're working for the Vorsteins, we'd better use disguises so they don't recognize us.

Tai: Good idea, Al. By the way, you got those homing devices?

Brittany: [points to a homing device on her watch] Right on our watches. If Barzee and Cox hold one of us hostage, you'll find us.

Sora: Good thing Simon tinkered your watches so they could be used as homing devices for our Digivices.

Alvin: Let's suit up.

[Later, at the Wollman Rink in Central Park, Alvin, Brittany, and the DigiDestined (w/their Digimon watching outside the rink) skate, while in their disguises]

Tai: [narrates] We made our way to Central Park's Wollman Rink. We figured that if the kidnappers worked for the Vorsteins, we'd have to go undercover. So with our disguises, we were sure to succeed.

Mimi: I hope this plan works fine, Alvin.

Alvin: When we see who the Barzee and Cox are, if they manage to escape, we'll find out where they are, get back the missing captives, and put the kidnappers behind bars.

Brittany: You know, Alvin, all these years of training with Heather Williams are really paying off for this case.

Joe: You kids are lucky. I've never skated on ice before.

[He slips and falls on the ice]

Alvin: [helps Joe up] Joe, if you'd spend a little more time learning to skate and less time as a doctor, you'd be a better skater now.

Joe: Real funny, Alvin.

[Outside the rink, the Digimon are on the lookout for the kidnappers]

Agumon: Any sign of Barzee or Cox?

Gabumon: Not a trace.

[Patamon and Biyomon watch from higher above]

Patamon: Haven't seen any trace of either of the kidnappers.

Biyomon: Do you remember what Captain Lee said about the car they were driving?

Patamon: Something about a red Camaro.

Palmon: [from below] Hey, up there! Any luck yet?

Biyomon: Nothing yet, Palmon. But remember, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro! Red!

Gomamon: Red Camaro?

[He sniffs and suddenly notices a 2011 Chevy Camaro approaching the parking lot]

Gomamon: Guys, I think I found one!

Gatomon: Lemme see.

[She notices the Camaro through her binoculars]

Gatomon: Well, there's 2 passengers inside. I think we got our kidnappers.

[Inside the car, the two kidnappers: Cornelius Barzee and Tracy Cox, notice the skaters on the rink]

Barzee: Check it out, Cous. Our last ticket to joinin' the Vorsteins.

Cox: Those two shorties oughta do the trick. We'll ransom them for double what we usually ransom for.

Barzee: 200 G's for 2 little, harmless kids. And once we give Mr. Vorstein the money, we're a firm go for his gang.

[He parks the car]

Barzee: Let's go, Cox.

Cox: With ya, Barzee.

[They exit the car and shut the doors; they put on their sunglasses and approach the rink]

Gatomon: It's gotta be them! Barzee and Cox.

Agumon: Shh! Let's not arouse suspicions yet.

[Barzee and Cox approach the rink and head toward Alvin and Brittany]

Alvin: [notices; whispers] I think those two might be them.

Brittany: [whispers back] Let's let 'em capture us, then we've got 'em.

Alvin and Brittany: [loudly] HELP!

[Barzee grabs Alvin; Cox grabs Brittany]

Barzee: Hey, hey, hey!

Cox: You kids ready to play?!

Brittany: Unhand us at once!

Alvin: We can bite!

[The DigiDestined stops and notices the kidnappers]

Sora: Those must be the kidnappers!

Mimi: [quietly] Don't move. If they make us as ACME detectives, we're tonight's meat loaf.

Cox: Your parents will pay big time to set you free. And we're in the money!

Alvin: Help! Guys!

[Barzee and Cox take them to their car, tie them up, gag them, and throw them in the back seats; they take their own seats and drive off]

[In the back seat, Alvin winks at Brittany, who winks back]

Brittany: [in her mind] I hope this plan works.

Alvin: [in his mind] It's in the bag, Brittany.

[Back at the rink, T.K. looks at a signal in his Digivice]

T.K.: Great. We've got their signal.

Tai: Let's get back to headquarters and get the exact location.

[They all exit the rink]

[Back at HQ, at the lab, Izzy hooks up T.K.'s Digivice to his laptop and opens up a map of New York City]

Tai: [narrates] Once we returned to headquarters, Izzy began analyzing a map to track down Barzee and Cox.

Tentomon: I hope we've got a lock on the kidnappers' hideout.

Izzy: Alvin's bugging plan is working so far, Tentomon. [points to the red dot] This red dot indicates that the kidnappers are in 8th Street.

Tai: Mimi and I will find it.

Mimi: I know my way around Manhattan. I'll lead the way.

[Greg enters]

Greg: Guys, where's Alvin and Brittany?

Tai: The kidnappers have them, Greg. But it's part of Alvin's plan.

Agumon: Their watches have homing devices which enable Digivices to track them down.

Greg: So they're letting themselves be captured so that you can save them and the captives?

Kari: Yes, Captain. Tai and Mimi are gonna take their Digimon to 8th Street, where we traced the kidnappers.

Greg: Very well. I'll notify the NYPD for backup.

Tai: Let's go, Agumon.

Mimi: Come on, Palmon.

Greg: Hold it. Before you go out there, you're gonna need transportation. If you'll follow me to the alley.

[Tai, Mimi, Agumon, and Palmon follow him to the alley, and there, they find a pair of ACME Crime Net motor scooters with siren lights, tracking devices, and more]

Tai: Whoa! Check it out!

[He gets on one of the scooters]

Mimi: Awesome motor scooters, Greg!

[She gets on the other scooter]

Greg: I call them the ACME Scooters. Ya like?

Agumon: No fooling, Cap. They're dandy!

Greg: Check 'em out. Siren lights, tracking devices, digital radios, Digivice docks, iPod docks for all sizes, and no regular license required. NYPD-approved.

Tai: Beautiful, aren't they?

Mimi: Yep.

Greg: There's more for the others in case they need 'em. Now, go out there and apprehend those kidnappers. I'll have the police ready to arrest the nappers and get the hostages home.

Tai: You got it, Greg.

Mimi: Let's go.

[Agumon and Palmon join their respective partners on their scooters; Tai and Mimi rev up the engines, and they drive off]

Greg: Godspeed!

[Meanwhile, at a house in 8th Street, Barzee and Cox listen to their radio headphones while reading magazines; all the while, Alvin, Brittany, and 10 other hostages (3 children, 3 teenagers, 4 adults), all tied up and gagged, wait]

Tai: [narrates] Meanwhile, while Barzee and Cox were occupied at the moment, Alvin had to assure the real hostages that we were on the way.

Alvin: [quietly; muffled] Hey, buddy on the other end.

Hostage on the other end: [quietly; muffled] Hmm?

Alvin: ACME's on the way.

Hostage: Thank goodness.

Alvin: [in his mind] We've got them this time, Brittany.

Brittany: [in her mind] I hope you're right, Alvin.

[Later, in the streets of Manhattan, Tai and Mimi drive their ACME Scooters]

Tai: [narrates] Mimi and I were on our way to 8th Street on our new ACME Scooters. With the new tracking devices on our scooters, we were given directions to the location of the kidnappers.

Tai: [aloud] Got your Digivice hooked up, Mimi?

Mimi: Yep. We need to make a left turn.

[She and Tai turn left]

[Meanwhile, at the Vorsteins' house, Klaus and Karl look at the surveilance screens and notice Tai and Mimi]

Klaus: What?! They're attempting to rescue the hostages?!

Karl: Save your breath, Uncle Klaus. I figured this'd happen, so I sent my biker men and their trio of Nightmare Soldiers to block their path to 8th Street.

Klaus: That's my nephew.

[He snickers]

[Back in Manhattan, Tai and Mimi are closing in on 8th Street, when suddenly, a gang of bikers and 3 Nightmare Soldier Digimon block their path]

Gang: Not so fast!

Tai: Get outta the way! We've got 12 hostages to rescue!

Palmon: We gotta watch out for those three Digimon.



Palmon: This is Crescemon, a Demon Digimon with a soft body. Her Lunatic Dance delude all her opponents.



Agumon: Phelesmon is a Fallen Angel Digimon. Better watch out for his Black Statue attack. It could turn you into stone.



Agumon: And don't forget Karatenmon, a Wizard Digimon with two strong swords. He can read the opponent's spirit with his Harmony Swords, and his Feather Flare attack comes from his wings.

Gang leader: Attack them all!

Nightmare Soldiers: Yes, boss!

Mimi: Palmon, take it away!

[Her Digivice activates]

Tai: You, too, Agumon!

[His Digivice activates]

Palmon: Palmon, Digivolve to...!

[She Digivolves into...]

Togemon: Togemon!

Agumon: Agumon, Digivolve to...!

[He Digivolves into...]

Greymon: Greymon!

[Greymon and Togemon face the Nightmare Soldiers]

Greymon: Ladies first?

Togemon: Needle Spray!

[She fires her attack at Crescemon, who dodges]

Crescemon: Lunatic Dance!

[After a dance, she strikes Togemon with her attack]

Karatenmon: My turn! Feather Flare!

[He strikes Greymon with his attack]

Greymon: Nova Blast!

[He fires his attack at Karatenmon, but Phelesmon blocks the attack with his trident]

Phelesmon: Black Statue!

[He fires his attack at Greymon, who turns into a black stone statue]

Tai: Greymon!

Mimi: Poor Togemon! She's on her own now!

Gang leader: That stupid giant cactus is outnumbered, boys.

[His gang laughs]

Togemon: I can handle 3 Digimon.

Gang leader: Oh, didn't ya know, plant punk? All 3 are Ultimate-level Digimon!

Mimi: Don't let 'em get in your head, Togemon!

Togemon: Lightspeed Jabbing!

[She jabs Karatenmon with her attack repeatedly]

Karatenmon: Feather Flare!

[He strikes Togemon w/his attack, but Togemon punches him back]

Togemon: You make me sick! Needle Spray!

[She fires her attack at Karatenmon, hitting him hard; Karatenmon screams, hits the ground, and vanishes into dust]

Crescemon: You got lucky that time, Togemon!

Phelesmon: You won't be as lucky against the two of us!

Mimi: Maybe not as a Champion, but maybe as an Ultimate! It's time to Digivolve again!

[Her Digivice powers up Togemon]

Togemon: Togemon, Digivolve to...!

[She Digivolves into...]

Lillymon: Lillymon!

Gang leader: Phelesmon, attack!

[Phelesmon faces Lillymon]

Lillymon: Come and get me, creep!

Phelesmon: With pleasure, fairy freak. Black Statue!

[He fires his attack at Lillymon, who dodges]

Tai: If Lillymon beats Phelesmon, Greymon will return to normal. Then we can beat Crescemon.

Greymon: [inside statue] I hope she succeeds.

Lillymon: Flower Cannon!

[She fires her attack at Phelesmon, who gets hit]

Lillymon: Now to lift that stone spell. Flower Wreath!

[She ties up Phelesmon w/her attack, weakening him]

Phelesmon: NO!

[Greymon returns to normal]

Greymon: I'm back!

Tai: Glad you're back, Greymon!

Mimi: Okay, Lillymon! Take care of Crescemon!

Lillymon: This one's all yours, Greymon!

[She faces Crescemon]

[Tai's Digivice powers up Greymon]

Greymon: Greymon, Digivolve to...!

[He Digivolves into...]

MetalGreymon: MetalGreymon! [roars]

[He faces Phelesmon]

MetalGreymon: There's no use trying to escape us, Phelesmon! Giga Blaster!

[He fires his attack at Phelesmon, destroying him]

Gang leader: Those rats!

[MetalGreymon de-Digivolves back to Agumon]

Agumon: Just one more to go, and we're on our way!

Lillymon: Bring it on, Crescemon!

Crescemon: Dark Archery!

[She fires her attack at Lillymon, hitting her]

Lillymon: Not quite enough. Flower Cannon!

[She fires her attack at Crescemon, who gets hit]

Crescemon: Good thing my boss gave me extra power in case this would happen. Feast your eyes on this!

[She glows]

Mimi: It can't be!

Tai: Lillymon's in trouble!

Crescemon: Crescemon, Dark-Digivolve to...!

[She Digivolves into her Mega stage...]



Dianamon: Dianamon!

Agumon: She Digivolved to Mega!

Lillymon: Dianamon is said to be one of the Olympus Twelve, and she resides over ice and water. One of her attacks is the Arrow of Artemis. She pulls a faintly sparkling arrow of ice from the quill-like protrusions on her back, and fires it.

Dianamon: You're a bitter fool to challenge me, you floral fairy. Arrow of Artemis!

[She fires her attack at Lillymon, hitting her hard; Lillymon screams and falls to the ground]

Mimi: Lillymon!

[She runs up to her partner]

Mimi: Lillymon, are you all right?

Lillymon: I've had worse hits than this, Mimi.

Tai: Agumon, it's up to you!

[His Digivice powers up Agumon]

Agumon: Agumon, Warp-Digivolve to...!

[He bypasses his Champion and Ultimate levels and Digivolves into...]

WarGreymon: WarGreymon!

[He faces Dianamon]

WarGreymon: It's time you picked on someone your own stage.

Dianamon: Crescent Harken!

[She fires her attack at WarGreymon]

WarGreymon: Brave Shield!

[He blocks the attack with his shield]

WarGreymon: Terra Force!

[He fires his attack at Dianamon, who screams as she gets hit and vanishes into dust]

WarGreymon: That'll teach her!

[He de-Digivolves back into Agumon]

Tai: As for you punks, we're takin' you in.

[An NYPD van pulls up, and 3 officers grab the bikers one by one and throws them into the van]

Tai: Thanks a lot, boys.

Mimi: But, Tai, look at what they did to poor Lillymon.

Lillymon: I think I need a little rest.

[Mimi carries her on her back and gets back on her scooter]

Mimi: A little piggyback never hurts.

[Tai and Agumon get on Tai's scooter]

Tai: Let's go!

[The two drive off and head into 8th Street]

[They stop right in front of the kidnappers' house, where a group of NYPD squad cars and officers await]

Tai: [narrates] With the biker gang outta the way, we made it to 8th Street and saw that the New York City Police Department had just arrived.

[One of the officers walks up to Tai]

Tai: Tai Kamiya, ACME Crime Net.

Officer: We got a tense situation, Detective. Barzee and Cox have the 12 hostages in this house.

Tai: Anything else?

Officer: Oh, yeah. We checked the registration on that 2011 Camaro over there.

[He draws Tai's attention to the Camaro]

Officer: It's registered to one Karl Vorstein.

Tai: Just as the captain suspected. I hope you had those sirens off when you came to the street.

Officer: If we didn't, the kidnappers would escape.

Tai: I'm goin' in.

[He puts on a pair of sunglasses, a trench coat, and a top hat, then walks up to the front door and knocks on it]

Barzee: Who is it?

Tai: It's your housekeeper's husband.

Barzee: Oh, the one who died a week ago?

Tai: I came to ask about her insurance policy. May I come in?

Barzee: Certainly.

[He unlocks the door, and Tai enters and shuts the door; he walks up to Barzee and Cox]

Cox: Who's this, Barzee?

Barzee: The late housekeeper's husband. Wanted to ask about some life insurance.

Tai: First things first. Before I ask about my wife's insurance, I wanna know why you have these 12 people tied up in here?

[He secretly winks at Alvin and Brittany, who wink back]

Barzee: Oh, yeah. We kidnapped them over the past few days.

Tai: Kidnapping?

Cox: Only for ransom, sir. We put a $100,000 ransom on each captive.

Tai: $1.2 million?

Barzee: Duh!

Tai: Just making conversation, okay? Well, that's a wonderful money-making scheme, I gotta admit. I'll tell you what? Never mind the insurance policy. She probably left that money to the kids instead of me. Oh, could you guys close your eyes? I'm gonna go to my car and get a little surprise for you. Wait right there.

[The kidnappers shut their eyes as Tai makes fake footsteps]

Tai: Okay. I'm gonna head out the door, and I'll be back in a moment. You can open your eyes when I say so.

[He sneaks up behind the kidnappers and slaps cuffs on each of them, then conks them on each other's heads]

Barzee: [slowly opens his eyes] Oh, look, Cous. We've been had.

[He faints]

Cox: Oh, right. This guy's no housekeeper's spouse. He's a cop.

[She faints]

Tai: I'm no cop. [removes his disguise] I'm a detective. [reveals his ACME badge] ACME Crime Net. You're both under arrest. Boys!

[The NYPD breaks in and grabs the kidnappers; Mimi enters and hugs Tai]

Mimi: Thank goodness.

Tai: Let's get the hostages.

[The two set the hostages free]

Alvin: Nice going, guys!

Brittany: Your plan worked, Alvin!

Tai: That homing device on your watches really did the trick.

[Barzee and Cox suddenly awaken]

Barzee and Cox: Homing device?!

Barzee: Are you tellin' me that you used the last two captives as bait to lead the cops to us?!

Tai: Yep. We planned it all along. Take 'em away, boys.

[The cops take the kidnappers]

Cop 1: You two have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law if you give up the right.

Tai: [to the real hostages] As for you 10, the NYPD will see to it that you're reunited with all your families.

One hostage: Thanks, Detective!

[The NYPD leads the hostages out of the house]

Brittany: Mission accomplished, team!

Alvin: Let's go back to HQ.

[Outside, the squad cars clear out, with a tow truck taking the Camaro away]

Tai: [narrates] Once again, working hand in hand with the NYPD, justice has been served. We turned Barzee and Cox over to the police, as we headed back to headquarters.

[Back at the Vorsteins' house, Karl is infuriated]

Karl: Those rotten kids! We were this close!

Klaus: Calm yourself, boy. We'll get them next time. And possibly new recruits.

Karl: We'd better. Or I'll hafta take 'em myself.

[Back at HQ, Alvin, Brittany, and the DigiDestined are reuinted with Greg]

Greg: Nice job, you guys. Thanks to you, the hostages are safe at home, and Barzee and Cox are right behind bars where they belong.

Mimi: I just hope Lillymon's okay in the infirmary.

Sora: She'll be fine, Mimi. She only took a nasty blow. She'll be back on her feet in no time.

Alvin: I owe it all to Simon for giving our watches these homing devices.

Brittany: Well, it was your plan, partner.

Alvin: Oh, Brittany.

[Both laugh and hi-5]

[Cut to a mugshot of the biker gang]

Narrator: Each member of the biker gang was tried in Manhattan, in and for the state of New York, and convicted of a 120.07: Gang assault in the first degree, and a 120.10: Assault in the first degree. They have all been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.

[Cut to a mugshot of Barzee and Cox]

Narrator: Cornelius Barzee and Tracy Cox were both tried and convicted of 12 counts of 135.25: Kidnapping in the first degree, 4 counts of 140.05: Trespassing, and a 115.05: Criminal facilitation in the second degree. Both were locked away in separate state prisons for life.
