Re: Crime Lab Opens at ACME San Francisco
As the launch of ACME's first Crime Lab is nigh, we need to ensure that everyone is made aware of the proper guidelines for submitting evidence for analysis. Please note that failing to adhere to these guidelines may lead to false conviction or a case being thrown out of court entirely.
- Completely Fill out Evidence Submission Form ES-01 for all items (exception is Blood testing; a separate form is included in the kit.)
- Label Evidence Packaging; Agent Name, Case #, Subject or Victim name, Brief Description.
- Secure Evidence Bag or Container by Heat-Seal, Self-Sealing Bag, or Tamper Evident Tape.
- Assure Proper Warning Labels are Affixed to Outer and Inner Packaging for Safety of Lab Employees.
- Please call ahead before Submission for the Following: Firearms Analysis, Flammable or Hazardous Materials, Contents of Syringes.
- Local Agents may expedite Analysis and Return of Evidence by using the labeled Lock-Boxes in the Lab's anteroom. Anteroom is available 24 hours a Day. Please follow directions for box use as posted near Submission window as improper Box Submission may delay Return.
We hope to soon open smaller Field Units in Europe and Asia as demand requires and funds are made available. For the time being please be patient. TV makes it look easy. The reality is analysis may take several days, especially DNA.
Thank you for your attention.
