This fort is in a group of islands. Most people come here, strangely enough, for the commercial species of an evergreen tree indigenous to the area. It is widely used to enhance flavour. Name the fort?

Fort Belgica, Banda Neira, Indonesia.
A sad & bloody history, The Banda Islands more commonly known as the "Spice Islands" during European conquest of the south seas in the 17th - 18th century.
In 1611, Fort Belgica was built by the Dutch in order to hamper the strengthening British trade efforts in the territory.
In 1621, at war with the British over permanent control of the islands, Governor-general Jan Pieterszoon Coen, of "Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC)" the Dutch East Indies Company gave an order to exterminate all Bandanese people, resulting in a massacre of approximately 15,000 Bandanese inhabitants.
All for nutmeg & waterfont property!
AKA: Revenge Island

Woah, great job Sol! Maybe you should look into joining ACME.
Well done, Mr. Vent. I've granted you the necessary points. While you cannot use them to advance your career as a VILE agent, I'm sure you'll find ways to "distribute" them to ACME.

For other globe trotters, here is the next fort:
Situated in a sultanate state, this fort is a landmark in a town of its own namesake. Where is this?
(If you're lost, the flag should provide a convenient clue.)

Could it be Nakahl Fort in Nakhal Fort, Oman?
