Since I am unable to make an hour-long Christmas special this year like I did the last 3 years, it's best to make a Christmas special out of a regular half-hour episode. But you will not be displeased with this.
Today's singers:
Rockapella (past and present)
The Chipmunks
The Chipettes
Marsha James
Duelapella
Digipella
[Pre-show segment; in HQ, the entire office is decorated for Christmas; a fully-decorated Christmas tree (with numerous gifts underneath) stands beside the file cabinet]
[In the alley, while the Chipmunks and the Chipettes finish decorating the alley, Marsha is on the phone]
Marsha: Jaden, are you sure you and the others can't come?
Jaden: [on phone] Positive, Miss James. Alexis and I are staying home until she's well enough to come back to the show. But we're gonna have a wonderful Christmas together. It's Blair's first Christmas with us at her new home. And my group's gonna have a nice Christmas dinner. Jasmine's gonna bring the turkey.
Marsha: Well, I wish you and your group a good one. Take care. Both of you.
Jaden: Thanks. And let me know how the kids like our gifts to them. Merry Christmas.
Marsha: I will. Merry Christmas, Jaden.
[She hangs up, then walks up to the Chipmunks and the Chipettes, who are finished]
Marsha: You kids finished?
Alvin: Yep. Beautiful, isn't it, Marsha?
Marsha: Sweet. By the way, Jaden called. Alexis still can't come in her condition, and her group can't perform without her or Jaden.
Brittany: Aww. That's too bad.
Marsha: But he told me to tell you he's very sorry, and he wishes you a Merry Christmas.
Alvin: Our best to him and the others, too. I hope Blair enjoys her first Christmas living with Jaden and Alexis. And I hope she likes the gift I got her.
Marsha: What'd you get her?
Alvin: A $25 Best Buy gift card. I know how much she loves that place.
Simon: I hope Miss Lexi likes that new scarf I got her.
[Digipella enters]
Tai: Hi, guys. Miss James.
Alvin: Merry Christmas, Tai.
Kari: Sorry we're late.
Mimi: The others volunteered to help me send boxes of gifts to my church. It's part of Operation Christmas Child.
Jeanette: What's Operation Christmas Child, Mimi?
Mimi: You see, Jeanette, Father Peterson told me that the project collects shoeboxes filled with numerous gifts, like toys, school supplies, personal items, et cetera. And after boxing, they're shipped out to many countries. This year, I offered to make a contribution. And the other 7 liked the idea of giving to the poor kids, so they helped out.
Theodore: I'm glad you're making kids happy, Mimi.
Eleanor: Those gifts may make a huge difference.
Tai: So, how's it going so far for you kids?
Brittany: Well, we got word that Duelapella GX is not coming, but they wish us well.
Sora: Is Alexis doing all right?
T.K.: It's been like this since last Friday.
Jeanette: She'll be okay, T.K.
Matt: I wonder if the original Duelapella's coming.
Eleanor: Serenity called. She and the others are on the way.
Alvin: Unfortunately, Pokepella can't make it today. They feel a little tired out from yesterday's show. They decided to rest their voices for a while.
Joe: Next week, I'd better get them some medicine to improve their voices.
Simon: Good idea, Joe.
[A car horn is heard; Duelapella's car pulls up; out come Duelapella (w/Cody; Rebecca holds her teddy bear)]
Joey: Yo!
Tristan: What's happenin', fellas?
Yugi: Happy Holidays!
Marsha: Hi, guys.
Tea: Hi, Alvin.
Alvin: Hi, Tea. [sweetly] Hi, Cody.
[Cody laughs and waves to Alvin; he taps Alvin's nose]
Alvin: [laughs] Shucks, Cody. That tickles.
Rebecca: So, how did your Christmas shopping go?
Jeanette: Swell, Beckie. Thanks.
Rebecca: So did ours. [whispers in Jeanette's ear] Don't tell anyone else, but I got Tea a new tea set. She's been wanting one all year.
Jeanette: You have my word.
Rebecca: [normal tone] Even Teddy's sworn to secrecy. Right, Teddy?
[She holds her bear up to her ear]
Rebecca: He says he won't tell a soul.
Jeanette: Nor will I.
[Rockapella enters]
Sean: Happy Holidays, everyone!
Steven: Happy Holidays!
Yugi: Happy Holidays, guys.
Duke: How's it hangin', Scottie?
Scott: Just fine. You know, we missed you all week, Duelapella.
Mai: We had to finish our shopping.
Serenity: Took us 4 days. Not just the shopping, but wrapping the gifts, too.
Alvin: You know, the custom of giving and receiving presents on Christmas started very long ago when the 3 Wise Men gave gifts of joy to Jesus Christ after he was born. I wrote an essay one Christmas Eve about the true meaning of Christmas, and it got me an A.
Serenity: That's good to know, Alvin. Especially for those at home.
[Alvin's watch beeps]
Alvin: Uh-oh! It's showtime! Everybody to your places!
[All singers take their positions]
[Showtime!]
Chief: Merry Christmas to all from everyone on...
All singers: Where in the World is... Carmen Sandiego?
[They do the intro; now, to the Gumshoes]
Chief: And one of these Gumshoe teams could find her!
Barry: These two sisters have asked for their dad to come home from Iraq for Christmas, and their wish came true ahead of schedule. From Swatara Township, Pennsylvania, meet Abby and Isabel Sager!
Sean: This team of brothers wants a pair of iPod Touches for Christmas. From Newark, New Jersey, meet Chip and Richie Blue!
Steven: This brother and sister team has dreamed of becoming astronauts. From Staten Island, New York, meet Macey and Mike Walker!
[Now, to the alley; Greg enters and greets the singers]
Chief: And here's ACME Senior Agent in Charge of Training New Recruits, Greg Lee!
[Greg enters HQ; cheers and applause]
Greg: Merry Christmas, everybody! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Holidays!
[He greets the Gumshoes]
Greg: Hiya, Gumshoes! Nice to see ya! Merry Christmas to you all. Hey, folks, say hi to my buddies.
Rockapella: Rockapella!
Duelapella: Duelapella!
Digipella: Digipella!
Marsha: Marsha James!
Chipmunks: We're the Chipmunks!
Chipettes: We're the Chipettes!
[Applause]
Greg: Gumshoes, I'd like to remind you that on our Christmas special, the grand prize for capturing Carmen Sandiego is a trip to anywhere in North America and $25,000 in cash, and that is a heck of a Christmas present, ladies and gentlemen!
[Applause]
Greg: I tell ya, this is gonna be an exciting Christmas! Okay, Chief. Who we after today?
[Now, to the Chief]
Chief: Gumshoes, this is Sarah Nade.
Rockapella: Sarah Nade!
Chief: Rings on her fingers
and rings through her nose.
When she works for Carmen,
anything goes.
Her last-known whereabouts: Chicago, Illinois.
Christkindlmarket is a Christmas market held annually at Daley Plaza in Chicago.![]()
Chief: The festival is part of the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival and attracts more than a million visitors per year. The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest first held Chicago's Christkindlmarket on Pioneer Court in 1996. Christkindlmarket was inspired by the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg, Germany. In 1997, Mayor Richard Daley requested that the festival be moved to Daley Plaza. That year, the market attracted more than three quarters of a million visitors. By 1999, the Christkindlmarket had become part of the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. In recent years, Chicago's Christkindlmarket has become the largest Christmas market in the U.S.A., hosting well over a million visitors annually. At least, until today.
Duelapella: Oh, no!
Chief: Sarah Nade charged into Chicago, and made off with the market! She's thinking of turning it into a special market for V.I.L.E. Gumshoes, it's up to you to save Christmas by cracking today's Christmas caper...!
Rockapella: Whoo-WHOO!!
Chief: Market Mayhem!
[Applause]
[Back to HQ]
Greg: Thanks, Chief. Okay, Gumshoes. Here's how it goes. We're gonna start you each off with 100 ACME Crime Bucks. Each time you answer a question correctly, we'll give you 20 more Crime Bucks. If all 3 of you answer correctly, we'll give you each 40 Crime Bucks. And the two teams with the highest scores at the end of this round will proceed to the next round. Now, let's take the time to get to know you all better, since this is a Christmas special, and this is a team game. Abby and Isabel, tell us about how you and your dad reunited.
Abby: It was at the Brass Pro Shop. Isabel, our brother Matthew, and I were visiting Santa to tell him what we wanted for Christmas.
Isabel: At first, it was an iPad, but what we really wanted more than anything was our dad. He's a soldier serving in Iraq.
Abby: And as it turns out, our wish came true immediately. Dad was home 3 weeks early!
Greg: And is that him out in the audience?
Abby: Yeah. That's him with our mom and brother.
[Said members of the Sager family are in the audience; they wave to the camera]
Greg: There they are. Let's welcome the Sager sisters to the case.
[Applause]
Greg: Next, Chip and Richie. What's the one thing you guys would like for Christmas?
Richie: We each want an iPod Touch. 4G.
Chip: 32 gigs apiece.
Greg: Pretty tall order.
Richie: I know. That's why we're here.
Greg: And if you happen to have any left over, what're you gonna do with it?
Chip: Obviously iTunes music and apps. Plus, we could use a good college education.
Greg: Well, best of luck with that, fellas. And best of luck on the case. Finally, Macey and Mike, why do you wanna be astronauts?
Macey: We love the movie Lost in Space.
Greg: Who's your favorite actor in that movie?
Mike: I think Lacey Chabert was the best.
Macey: Heather Graham's nice.
Greg: And if you ever become astronauts, where would you like to go first?
Macey and Mike: The moon.
Greg: Cool. Hey, good luck to you all today. And guess what? Since this is Christmas, no matter what happens, all 3 of you teams are guaranteed $2,500 in cash!
[Applause]
Greg: Also, 2nd place receives a minimum of $5,000, and the winning team receives $10,000, in addition to their shot at catching Carmen Sandiego!
[Cheers and applause]
Greg: All right, Gumshoes. Let's get started. Chief, first clue, please?
[Back to the Chief, with a fax message]
Chief: Here's what we know so far, Gumshoes. I got this fax from Santa Claus, and he's really ticked off that Sarah's stolen the market, and she's scaring off the forest reindeer in Scandinavia. The country's situated in the Fennoscandian region of Northern Europe. It's also bordered by Sweden in the west. And I agree wholeheartedly, Santa. Sarah deserves coal for Christmas this year. Matter of fact, all of V.I.L.E. does. Right, Greg?
[Back to HQ]
Greg: Right, Chief. Thanks. Okay, Gumshoes. Whoever wants to play first, step forward.
[Abby, Richie, and Macey raise their hands]
Greg: Abby, Richie, and Macey. Step forward.
[The 3 Gumshoes step forward]
Greg: And name the country. Is it Iceland, Norway, or Finland? Remember the clues that we heard: Forest reindeer, Scandinavia, bordered by Sweden in the west, and Fennoscandian region of Northern Europe. Lock in your answers as quickly as you can, guys.
[The first Gumshoes lock in their answers]
Greg: Very good. Abby, we'll start with you. What'd you say?
Abby: I said Finland.
Greg: Finland. Richie?
Richie: I also said Finland.
Greg: Finland. Macey?
Macey: Finland.
Greg: What a way to start this Christmas special. Everybody's right!
[Applause]
Greg: That takes everyone up to 140 Crime Bucks. And let's not forget the fact that all of our answers have been verified by National Geographic World.
Rockapella: National Geographic World!
Greg: Thank you very much. Now, for our next clue, we turn to...
[Glugging sounds are heard]
Greg: Hold on a tick. Either the sleigh bells are losing their ringing sound, or it's time for the Plastic Diver Guy!
[He puts on his goggles]
Rockapella: He lives a life of danger.
Our underwater ranger.
The one and only Plastic Diver Guy!
[Now, to the Plastic Diver Guy's aquarium]
Greg: Merry Christmas, P.D.G.! What up?!
Plastic Diver Guy: Greg, I saw Sarah hide the Christmas market near the National Christmas Tree. It's a large evergreen tree located in the northeast quadrant of the The Ellipse near the White House. [breathes] The tree is close to the Zero Milestone but just east of the central north-south axis. [breathes] If you haven't found Sarah or the market there, you may wanna find the market among other markets, such as the Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. [breathes; music crescendos ominously] Oh, no! Even on Christmas, the ominous music can get you! Greg, I gotta...!
[A giant sleigh falls on him]
Rockapella: The one and only Plastic Diver Guy!
[Greg returns to his position and removes his goggles]
Greg: Plastic Diver Guy, everybody!
[Applause]
Greg: Okay, Isabel, Chip, and Mike. Name the city. Is it Baltimore, Washington, D.C., or Greensboro?
[The 2nd Gumshoes quickly lock in their answers]
Greg: All are locked in. What'd you say, Isabel?
Isabel: Washington, D.C.
Greg: Washington, D.C. Chip?
Chip: Washington, D.C.
Greg: Washington, D.C. Mike?
Mike: Washington, D.C.
Greg: Everybody says the same thing, everybody's right again!
[Applause]
Greg: That takes everyone up to 180 Crime Bucks. Nice job, everybody.
[Lightning flashes]
Greg: Okay, teams. You know what that effect means. It's time for the...
All Gumshoes: Lightning Round!
Greg: Absolutely. The Lightning Round. All these questions are about Sarah's most recent-known whereabouts, which is Washington, D.C. Each correct answer is worth 10 Crime Bucks. The one of you teams that answers all 4 questions correctly will win a cash bonus of $1,000!
[Applause]
Greg: Okay, guys. String 1, hands on the signaling buttons. Teammates, stand by. You're up next. Here's the first question. The Verizon Center hosts basketball and hockey games. Among its tenants are the Washington Wizards of the NBA. What NHL team--
[Abby rings in]
Greg: Abby.
Abby: The Capitals?
[Bells sound out]
[Applause]
Greg: You bet it is, Abby! Switch.
[The teammates switch]
Greg: Question 2: The Washington Redskins of the National Football League play at which of the following fields? RFK Stadium, Nationals Park, or FedExField?
[Isabel rings in]
Greg: Isabel.
Isabel: FedExField.
[Bells sound out]
[Applause]
Greg: You got it! 10 more for your team! Switch.
[The teammates switch]
Greg: Question 3: A visual question.![]()
Greg: Identify this station. Penn Station, Union Station, or Grand Central Station?
[Abby rings in again]
Greg: Abby.
Abby: Union Station.
[Bells sound out]
[Applause]
Greg: Yes. Way too easy. Switch.
[The teammates switch]
Greg: Isabel, if you get this last one right, your team splits 1,000 bucks. Here it is. Another visual question.![]()
Greg: Seen in this mural on U Street is a world-famous big band leader. He wrote over 1,000 compositions. He called his music "American Music" rather than jazz. Was he Duke Ellington, Grover Washington, Jr., or John Coltrane?
[Isabel rings in again]
Greg: Isabel, for the grand!
Isabel: Duke!
[Big bells sound out]
Greg: You've got $1,000!
[Cheers and applause]
[The Sager sisters hug]
Greg: Wow! This is what Christmas is all about! Not the getting. The giving! That thousand bucks is yours to keep, no matter what happens. That goes in addition to the $2,500 minimum. And at the end of the Lightning Round, the Sagers lead with 220, and the Blues and the Walkers are tied with 180.
Chief: Greg, come into my office. It's time to announce this week's winner.
Greg: Oh, yeah! That's right! It's Friday, and the winner of the Weekly Home Viewer Sweepstakes-- I gotta go, guys.

- Message
Greg: Okay, teams. Remember, we're still looking for Sarah Nade and the Chicago Christmas market. Let's check this Phone Tap for some more info.

Carmen: Sarah, this is important. I want you to hide out in the Lionel Wendt Art Centre. It's dedicated to the memory of Lionel Wendt.
Sarah: Aw, Carmen, this is bogus! I'm in no mood for theatre in around the holiday season. I just wanna get this crime over with and get my Christmas bonus!
Carmen: You can worry about the bonus later. Now, this city used to be the capital of Sri Lanka before Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte.
Sarah: I thought this city was.
Carmen: Not anymore, sweetums. Now, if they find you, take a train to Puttalam, on the Puttalam Line. Crack this case, and you're in for the bonus of a lifetime.
Sarah: At once!
[Back to HQ]
Greg: Okay, Gumshoes. First string, name the city. Is it Galle, Colombo or Jaffna?
[The 1st Gumshoes lock in their answers]
Greg: Everybody's locked in. Abby, what'd you say?
Abby: I picked Colombo.
Greg: Colombo. Richie?
Richie: Colombo.
Greg: Colombo. Macey?
Macey: Jaffna.
Greg: Jaffna. Went against the grain. The answer we're looking for is Colombo! Nice job, Abby and Richie!
[Applause]
Greg: That takes team 1 to 240, team 2 to 200, and team 3 stays at 180. Now, we've just received word that Sarah has left Sri Lanka, so let's pick up... the Chase!
[The singers run after Sean, who is carrying a huge sack on his back]
All singers: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh... THE CHASE!!!
Greg: What's he got in that sack? Well, anyway, all these are worth 10 Crime Bucks. Answer all 5 correctly, and we'll give you $2,000. Hands on the signaling buttons. Here we go. Sarah skated all the way to Malé.
[Isabel rings in]
Greg: Isabel.
Isabel: Maldives.
Greg: Right. Next, she leaped into the Lakshadweep Islands...
[Macey rings in]
Greg: Macey.
Macey: India.
Greg: Right. Next, she sailed over to Oman. What sea did she cross?
[Mike rings in]
Greg: Mike.
Mike: Arabian Sea.
Greg: Right. Next, she arrived in Abu Dhabi.
[Isabel rings in again]
Greg: Isabel.
Isabel: U.A.E.?
Greg: Right. United Arab Emirates. Finally, she sailed into the capital of Bahrain.
[Abby rings in]
Greg: Abby.
Abby: Ma-na-ma?
Greg: Manama is right, Abby. Very good. At the end of the Chase, Abby and Isabel have 270, Richie and Chip have 200, and Mike and Macey also have 200. Now, this is the final clue of the round. That means you get to decide how much you wanna risk. If you're right, we'll add that amount to your score. If you're wrong, we'll subtract it from your score. You and risk 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 ACME Crime Bucks. Take a look over here.
[A map of the north is shown on the monitor]
Greg: Here's a portion of the world where we think Sarah is headed. If you believe your teammate knows enough about this part of the world, you may wanna risk as much as possible. If not, you may wanna risk a little. String 2, confer with your teammates on what they want to wager. Everyone, take a look at the map, and think about it.
[The "risk" think cue is heard as the Gumshoe teams talk it over, and the 1st string of Gumshoes lock in their wagers]
[Afterwards, the cue ends]
Greg: Everybody's locked in. Now, for our final clue, we put together a little festive ditty. Singers?
[Cut to the alley; all singers sing to the tune of Deck the Halls]
All singers: Sarah Nade's gone way up north.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
This country's where you'll venture forth.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
She wants to try out Boxing Day.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Jail is where she'd better stay.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Alvin: Northward into the Arctic Ocean.
All Chipmunks: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Brittany: Get this caper out of motion.
All Chipettes: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Tai and Yugi: Follow us in merry measure.
All of Digipella and Duelapella: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Sean: Save the stolen yuletide treasure.
All of Rockapella: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
All: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
[Cheers and applause]
[Back to HQ]
Greg: Thanks, guys. Happy Holidays. Okay, Gumshoes. 2nd string, name the place. Is it Greenland, Iceland, or Canada? Remember the clues that we heard: Extends northward into the Arctic Ocean, and Boxing Day, which, by the way, is celebrated the day after Christmas.
[The 2nd Gumshoes lock in their answers]
Greg: All are locked in. We'll start with you, Mike and Macey. You have 200. Before you show us your answer, Macey, how much did you risk?
Macey: 50.
Greg: 50. Mike, if you're right, you'll go to 250. What'd you say?
Mike: I chose Canada.
Greg: Yes, it is Canada! Nice job, Walkers!
[Applause]
Greg: We now go to Chip and Richie. You have 200. Richie, how much did you risk?
Richie: I risked 30.
Greg: Didn't know much about it, eh?
Richie: No.
Greg: Anyway, let's see if your brother has the right answer. Chip?
Chip: I also chose Canada.
Greg: Right!
[Applause]
Greg: You go to 230. And we go to the Sager sisters. Abby and Isabel, you have 270. Abby, how much did you risk?
Abby: I also risked 30.
Greg: 30. So, whether you're right or wrong, your team and the Walkers are off to the next round. What'd you say, Isabel?
Isabel: Canada.
Greg: That takes your team to 300, and the Walkers and the Sagers are off to the next round!
[Applause]
Greg: Congratulations! Hey, Blue brothers, sorry things didn't work out for ya. But you do get to take home our Christmas minimum of $2,500. And the Chief has a gift for you. Chief?
Chief: Uh, big problems here, Greg. Uh, we're out of ACME Travel Kits.
Greg: Oh, man. And on Christmas time? Chief, can't you do anything about it?
Chief: Hmm,... Uh, nope. Sorry.
Greg: But what about the hologram? Maybe you could use the hologram!
Chief: [gasps] That's a great idea! [The following text scrolls across the bottom of the screen while the Chief shows the hologram: THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL ACME TRAVEL KIT. IT IS A CLEVER HOLOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION. THE GUMSHOE, HOWEVER, WILL STILL RECEIVE THE REAL DEAL] All Gumshoes here at ACME Crime Net receive the official ACME Crime Net Travel Kit. Inside this ACME Messenger Bag, you'll find a traveler's World Atlas, the Official Carmen Croton Watch, a Carmen T-Shirt, an ACME Crime Net Cap with the logo in front, a subscription to National Geographic World Magazine, an ACME Sterling Silver Stealth Pen-Recorder, plus, this globe ball.
[Her globe ball changes colors]
Chief: Now, sorry, folks, but only the holographic versions do this stuff. See, the real ones just bounce and tell you where Canada is. So...
[She throws the ball backwards and makes a basket]
[Applause]
Chief: Congratulations.

Jail is where she'd better stay.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Alvin: Northward into the Arctic Ocean.
All Chipmunks: Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Brittany: Get this caper out of motion.

Greg: [hat on] Thanks, Chief. Okay, teams. Sarah's taken the Chicago Christmas market to Canada. We gotta get there as fast as we can. We're gonna modem ourselves to get there.
Chief: Greg, are you and the Gumshoes ready to modem?
Greg: We're ready, Chief! Let's do it!
[He and the Gumshoes teleport to the Jailtime Challenge station in Canada]

Greg: Ahh! Okay, guys. Here we are in Canada. Take your positions.
[He and the Gumshoes take their positions]
Greg: Now, the Chief will be up here momentarily with some important instructions she'd like you to hear. So, listen very carefully. Chief?
[The Chief appears on the board]
Chief: There are 15 places here in Canada where you might find Sarah, the Warrant, or the Chicago Christmas Market. Let's look at a few of them.

Chief: Toronto, Canada's largest city. With over 2.5 million residents, it's the 5th most populous city in North America. The cost of living in Toronto was ranked highest in Canada in 2011, from what I've heard.

Chief: If you still haven't found Sarah or the market, search Ottawa, the capital of Canada. And the best bet there we can think of is the Parliament Hill, an area of Crown land on the southern banks of the Ottawa River. Its Gothic revival suite of buildings serves as the home of the Parliament of Canada and contains a number of architectural elements of national symbolic importance.

Chief: Finally, the CN Tower in Toronto. Of course, there's one in Edmonton, too, but let's talk more about this one. It was completed in 1976, becoming the world's tallest free-standing structure and the world's tallest tower at the time. It held both records for 34 years until the completion of Burj Khalifa and Canton Tower. Well, that's the briefing, Gumshoes. Now, comb Canada, make off with the market, and send Sarah to the slammer, where she'll get nothing but coal this Christmas! Greg!
[She signs off]
Greg: Thanks, Chief. Okay, guys. Here's how it works. The first thing you have to find is the Loot, which is the evidence required to get the Warrant. Once you get the Warrant, you can arrest the Crook. If you connect all 3 of those things: Loot, Warrant, and Crook, in one turn, you'll arrest Sarah, return the market to Chicago, and get the chance to try and catch Carmen Sandiego for $25,000 and a trip to anywhere in North America. One more thing. You can pick any location you wish, but if you happen to land upon the Loot, the Warrant, or the Crook at any time, you get a free look. Abby and Isabel, you were ahead at the end of the last round, so you start.
Isabel: Brookfield Place.
Greg: Brookfield Place.
[The Warrant]
Digipella: The Warrant!
Greg: Nice job, girls. You found the Warrant right off the bat. But remember, they have to be in order: Loot, Warrant, and Crook. Go ahead. Free look.
Abby: CN Tower.
Greg: CN Tower.
[Shoeprints]
Greg: Nothing there. We now go to the Walkers.
Mike: Downtown Toronto.
Greg: Downtown Toronto.
[Shoeprints]
Greg: Nothing there. Sagers?
Abby: La Joute.
Greg: La Joute.

Yugi: [French accent] Non.
Greg: Nothing there, either. Back to the Walkers.
Macey: Suncor Energy Centre.
Greg: Suncor Energy Centre.

Rockapella: Sarah Nade!
Greg: Good job, you guys. You found Sarah. But remember, they have to be in order. Free look.
Macey: Lions Gate Bridge.
Greg: Lions Gate Bridge.

Greg: Nothing there. We go back to Abby and Isabel.
Abby: False Creek.
Greg: False Creek.
[The Loot]
Chipmunks and Chipettes: Missing market!
Greg: There's the Loot. I think you girls know where the others are.
Isabel: Brookfield Place.
Greg: Brookfield.
[The Warrant]
Rockapella: The Warrant!
Greg: One more.
Abby and Isabel: Suncor Energy Centre.
Greg: Is she still at the Suncor Energy Centre?
[Sarah]
All singers: Sarah Nade! YOU'VE WON!!
Greg: WHOO-HOO!
[Cheers and applause]
[Abby and Isabel hug]
[The singers do their fanfare as the confetti falls on the Sagers]
Greg: I congratulate you! $10,000 richer! You two know what to do. Put her in jail.
[Abby and Isabel walk up to the chain; Isabel pulls it, and...]

Rockapella: Sarah Nade... in jail!
[Applause]
Greg: Stay right there, girls. We'll talk with you in a moment. First off, Mike and Macey Walker, we can't let you go home empty-handed. You're gonna take home $5,000, the minimum for 2nd place. And you also get this. Chief?
[Back to the Chief]
Chief: Tough break. But ACME rules never bend. Only the winners can capture Carmen Sandiego. But fortunately, rule 43-D states that all Gumshoes receive the ACME Travel Kit. Also, I've signed an authorization of a 4GB MP3 and video player with a 2.8-inch touch screen, with music from around the world and songs by Rockapella, including our theme song. For your work on this case, I salute you!
[Applause]
Chief: Greg, are you and the Gumshoes ready to modem?

[Applause]
Greg: One day, and you girls have won $11,300, all cash! This is turning out to be the best Christmas ever for you two. But now it's time to play the bonus game. Behind these numbers are a reduce voucher to improve your chances of getting Carmen, 2 mystery amounts to add to the potential cash prize of $25,000, an item that doubles it to $50,000, and we have, on this Christmas special, a $5,000 savings bond. Also, we have 2 Wild Cards. Find one, and the next number you choose is an automatic match. Start pickin'.
Isabel: #8.
Greg: #8.
[Wild Card]
Greg: Oh, my goodness. You got a Wild Card right off the bat. Next pick is an automatic match. If you find the other Wild Card, you'll not only win the savings bond automatically, but you'll also win a $5,000 cash bonus. Good luck.
Abby: #1.
Greg: Off the top. #1?
[Double]
Rockapella: MATCH!
Greg: OH!!
[Cheers and applause]
[The singers do their fanfare as the confetti falls on the Sagers, who embrace]
Greg: You, my friends, have raised the potential cash prize for catching Carmen from $25,000 to a massive, incredible, and well-deserved... $50,000!
[Cheers and applause]
Greg: But... There's still some paperwork to take care of.
[He hands Abby a portfolio]
Greg: Abby, what you have to do is write down where you and your family would like to go if you catch Carmen Sandiego and get the trip, and the 50 grand. Go ahead.
[The "trip think" cue is heard as Abby writes down her trip location in her portfolio]
[Afterwards, the cue ends]
Greg: Have you talked it over with your dad?
Abby: Yep.
Greg: What do you think, Isabel? Like the idea?
Isabel: [looks inside the portfolio] Yep.
Greg: Now, all we need is a phone call.
[The phone rings; Greg picks up]
Greg: Hello? No. It's Crime Net policy. No sending Christmas gifts to inmates. No? You wanna speak to her? Okay. Abby or Isabel? Uh-huh. [to Isabel] It's for you.
[He hands the phone to Isabel]
Isabel: Hello?
Sarah: Aw, man! This prison is heinous! The guards keep playin' music by Kenny G! Get Carmen in here before I freak out! She scooted to Anglo-America.
[She hangs up]
Isabel: Carmen went to Anglo-America.
Greg: Then you, your sister, and I are goin' to Anglo-America. Chief?
[Back to the Chief]
Chief: Here's a list of places Carmen may have traveled:
New York, U.S.A.
Ohio, U.S.A.
Rhode Island, U.S.A.
Utah, U.S.A.
Oregon, U.S.A.

Greg: You girls know what to do?
Abby: Yeah. 7 in 45 seconds.
Greg: Who wants to go first?
Abby: Isabel, get a marker.
[Isabel grabs her first marker]
Greg: Okay, Isabel. Remember, if you make 2 mistakes with the same marker, or if you find the right state, you must pass control over to your sister, and keep alternating until time runs out, or you catch Carmen. Let's get 45 seconds up on the clock.
[The timer is set at 45 seconds]
Greg: I'd love to end the Holiday Week with a 4th Carmen capture and a $50,000 win. Good luck to you both. We're all pullin' for ya. Here we go. On your mark, get set, GO!
[The timer and music start]

[Big bells, sirens, and horns sound out]
Greg: RIGHT AT THE HORN!!
[WILD Cheers and applause]
[The singers do their longer fanfare; red and green balloons, streamers, and confetti fall on the stage]
[Abby and Isabel scream excitedly and hug wildly; their family and friends spill over the Map]

Greg: This your family?
Abby: Yeah!
Greg: Could I have a quick word with your dad?
Isabel: Sure!
Greg: Chris, how do you feel, now that you're daughters have won?
Chris: I'm real proud of them. They really made my day, Greg.
Greg: They made his day. That's wonderful.
[Abby is given her portfolio]
Greg: It's great that you caught Carmen in the nick of time. Now, a while ago, you wrote down where your family would like to go if you caught Carmen Sandiego. You did it. You and your family are goin' to...!
All singers: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA...!!!
[Abby reveals what she wrote down:]
Abby: Washington, D.C.!
All singers: LET'S GET PACKIN'!!
[Cheers and applause]
Greg: My God! Also, because you got over 5, we're gonna give you each a digital camera to take pictures on your trip.
[He hands Isabel and Abby each a digital camera]
Greg: And the Chief has a word for you. Chief?
[Back to the Chief]
Chief: Fantastic, Abby and Isabel! There hasn't been a week with more than 3 Carmen captures in 3 years! And for that wonderful capture at the last second, I hereby award you the cash bonus of $50,000! And more importantly, a promotion! You 2 are now Sleuths! Congratulations!
[Applause]
[Back to the Map]
Greg: And here's the check.
[He hands Isabel the check]
Greg: 50 grand! Cover trip taxes, pay off some bills, college tuition, shopping sprees-- You can do anything with that. And because you two are now Sleuths, you each get to wear the Official Carmen Sandiego Sleuth Jacket!

[Applause]
[Greg hands a jacket each to Abby and Isabel]
Greg: You guys didn't win any other prizes, but you've won your trip, and $61,300 in cash. That adds up to a grand total of $66,550!
[Cheers and applause]
Greg: All this week, we've given away a grand total of, in cash and prizes, $211,025!

All: DO IT, ROCKAPELLA!!!
[Marsha sings Silent Night, with the other singers vocalizing in the background]
Marsha: Silent night.
Holy night.
All is calm.
All is bright.
'Round yon virgin
mother and Child.
Holy infant
so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night.
Holy night.
Shepherds quake
at the sight.
Glories stream from
heaven afar.
Heav'nly hosts
sing Alleluia.
Christ the Saviour is born.
Christ the Saviour is born.
Silent night.
Holy night.
Son of God.
Love's pure light.
Radiant beams from
Thy holy face.
With the dawn of
Redeeming grace.
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Silent night.
Holy night.
All is calm.
All is bright.
'Round yon virgin
mother and Child.
Holy infant
so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
[Cheers and applause]

[Back to the Chief]
Chief: This is S. Epatha Merkerson speaking for Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?. And remember:

And there's always a time to celebrate.
Merry Christmas, everybody!
[The end]

[Marsha sings Silent Night, with the other singers vocalizing in the background]
Marsha: Silent night.
Holy night.
All is calm.
All is bright.
'Round yon virgin
mother and Child.
Holy infant
so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night.
Holy night.
Shepherds quake
at the sight.
Glories stream from
heaven afar.
Heav'nly hosts
sing Alleluia.
Christ the Saviour is born.
Christ the Saviour is born.
Silent night.
Holy night.
Son of God.
Love's pure light.
Radiant beams from
Thy holy face.
With the dawn of
Redeeming grace.
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Silent night.
Holy night.
All is calm.
All is bright.
'Round yon virgin
mother and Child.
Holy infant
so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
[Cheers and applause]
