| Character Background: | Gunnar Jonas Svensson was born 9 January, 1989, in Sweden. Svensson graduated from Swedish gymnasium in 2008 and began to develop his career as a sprinter by participating in several Swedish and Norwegian track & field events. In summer 2010, Svensson won the 100 meters dash, placed 3rd in the 200 meters dash, and finished 6th in the 110 meters hurdles contest at the Götagalan track & field meet in Karlstad, earning the nickname “Götablixten”. He competed in the 100 meters competition at the 2010 Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway, where he placed 6th, and later at the 2010 DN Galan in Stockholm, Sweden, where he placed 4th with his current personal record. Svensson was admitted to the Swedish team for the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona. He placed second in the 100-meters event, and did well enough to compete in the finals of the 200-meters competition, in which he placed 7th with his personal best time in that event in the final run. Since then, it was assumed that Svensson would qualify for the Swedish track and field team in the 2011 World Championships. However, he disappeared from the public scene in late 2010. Svensson joined ACME at the Stockholm division in August 2010, working under the division's Supervising Agent Annelien Bakkar. In December 2010, he was transferred to ACME Headquarters in San Francisco, where he currently studies at the Academy. His major is in International Relations. Svensson speaks his native Swedish language along with English, and is taking courses in German at ACME Academy. It has been observed that he can understand the Russian language. |
| Personality: | Gunnar is quiet and patient, with a dry and sarcastic humor. He is very humble and is rather embarrassed of praise, though any well-deserved recognition is naturally appreciated by him. He is very kind to people who have not shown themselves to be obnoxious, but also very shy and uncomfortable with initiating conversation. He does not have a good appreciation for “small talk”, because it is not very meaningful. He is very reasonable, and yet not very accepting of “unreasonable” things. Gunnar is a good and loyal friend, but he is not very open and many find him hard to approach, much harder to befriend. He is cautious in relationships and only desires the few good friends that one can rely on. Though he may not seem friendly at first, he will endeavor to be polite and listen to almost anything one has to say. Gunnar loves children, and is considered a mentor to many local youth. He associates with children as a way to release his inner youthfulness, which he usually contains due to his suspicion and fear. He will not hesitate to attack anyone who is purposely hurting a child. Gunnar is very proud of his country and will defend it from insult by foreigners, though he will admit his contempt for much of the political state of Sweden. He respects all authority, so long as it does not interfere with what he believes to be an undeniable right of his (such as free speech or religion). |

By Connie_Girl 276 Days AgoDo you do rashering? All I could find out about this Swedish sport was that, "[Rashering] is when men pin meat to their clothes and run through the street from a pack of hungry dogs" (Wikipedia). Sounds kind-of interesting......and a little scary.
