| Current Status: | Attending the AAFS 62nd Annual Scientific Meeting. Staying for the Train concert on Tuesday. |
| Nick Name: | Katie |
| Physique: | Slim |
| Eye Color: | Blue |
| Hair Color: | Dark Brown |
| Character Quote: | “I thought I was working in a Crime Lab… not sitting in detention at Shermer High.” |
| Character Background: | (Disclaimer: Character is my own creation and not meant to reflect any other real-life person. Some aspects of the franchise have, however, been incorporated... obviously. Those, I don’t own. No sue for you.) Born in Philadelphia, however lived there less than a year as a child due to her father joining the USAF. Has lived in three Countries (USA, Japan, Germany) and five States (Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, California). Earned a B.S. in Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry from West Chester University, PA. Returned to Philadelphia to work in PPD’s Forensic Science Division right out of college. Recruited by ACME two years later to create and oversee HQ’s seriously belated Crime Lab. |
| Personality: | Tends to be introverted and at times antisocial; not generally the initiator of conversation and often prefers independent activity over social events. Despite the number of people to come into her life, most have also gone due to Katie’s gypsy-like past, and as such, the scientist has little confidence in long-term personal relationships. Sarcastic, although not especially witty. More cynical than she’d like to be. No matter how unprofessional and cliquish co-workers may get, Katie will rarely engage in such activity while at work (see Character Quote). Professional relationships qua professional relationships, in contrast to personal relationships, are far more valuable to and comfortable for the scientist. Interests include reading, music, guitars, computers, cooking, nitpicking forensics shows, and Greek Mythology. Favorites include Atlas Shrugged, Clue (game and movie), the band No Doubt, Epiphone guitars, Vans shoes, Doc Martens boots, and men’s accessories (hats, belts and neckties). Guilty pleasures include anime, fan fiction, video games, The X-Files, NCIS, John Hughes movies and that last pint of Guinness. Peeves include poor grammar, asking for help before using available resources (ie: software help files, internet, dictionary), and the phrase “let’s just agree to disagree,” especially when used in an argument where the answer is fact, not opinion. |

By DetectiveAwesome 146 Days AgoHey cool! I have this old fisherman's cap that's evidence from a case, think you can prove that it belonged to Ken U. Belevitt? Strange-Fate said he was involved after smelling the ground and meditating or something... but I'm not sure those methods hold up in a court of law.
By Ivy 146 Days AgoGreat to have you on the team! Now maybe with some solid evidence from the labs, we'll finally be able to process those warrants faster. I mean, narrowing down V.I.L.E. members through the dossiers is fine, but sometimes it just feels like making guesses in a game show…
By EarlJr 146 Days AgoI've been doing some work on a solid fuel rocket booster, but my chemistry is a bit rusty. Perhaps we could tackle it together over some coffee?
By Chase 146 Days AgoB.S. in Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry? Impressive background. Best of luck on bringing ACME to the 21st -- some of the reports here are still written on typewriters.
