| Character Background: | Eddie was raised by an ever changing crew of off-duty flight attendants from all over the world after he was found lost as a toddler at Atlanta International Airport and never claimed back. An intelligent boy, he quickly picked up the different languages used by his surrogate parents, and had mastered over a dozen by the age of ten. At about that time, a change in the airport direction demanded that the boy leave the airport and be taken in by an orphanage, despite his uncertain nationality. Eddie, however, refused to leave the Duty Free area and remained hidden for another five years, living on petty theft and dodging airport security by passing himself off as a tourist or part of a family thanks to his forgettable looks and flawless accents. He was eventually caught at the age of fifteen and put in juvie, where he caught up with his education in record time, and went on to study Social Science and Languages in Harvard. By the time he got his diploma, he was fluent in 37 languages, living and dead, and that was his undoing. The tower of Babel in his brain eventually collapsed, leaving him with a score of voices in his head, all of which spoke in different tongues, and some very... criminal ideas... |
| Personality: | A grammar nazi if there ever was one, Eddie keeps an eye out for spelling mistakes at all times. His pedantry is prone to get the best of him even in the middle of a mission. However, outside of his monomania, Eddie is actually pretty good with people, as a talented sociologist. It is the rest of things in life that puzzle him. Messy and disorganized, with a bad sense of orientation and a worse grasp of technology, Eddie can deal with others much better than he deals with himself. Indeed, when it comes to expressing personal thoughts, the voices in Eddie's head get the best of him and he can never express himself in the correct language. |
